I have seen no difference between using and not using the spa scum absorbing duck. However, it is a cute little sponge that my kids like to play with when in the spa. I will likely not purchase this product in the future. I purchased this with 2 other items and shipping was very, very slow. I had to finally contact about my order only to find out there were delays in the shipping. Each time I received an update after that, the shipping date was postponed another week.
