I have a brand new heating and cooling system. The contractor directs me to use no denser than a MERV 8 filter. What people don’t realize is that the filter is there to protect the system, not clean the air in the house. These filters, when bought by the dozen, are very cost effective. As an Indiana resident, I appreciate that they are manufactured in my state. Don’t buy the Chinese crap sold in the big box stores.

Item was exactly as described, correct dimensions, good quality and arrived undamaged. Note that the dimensions are NOT the nominal 20x25x1, but slightly smaller on each dimension. This is standard in the industry, similar to a piece of lumber (a 2x4 is actually something like 1.75x3.5). Vendor was awesome. Product arrived well before estimated date.
