I love this filter! We live in a dusty area (High Desert) and the disposable filters are reasonable enough until you begin having to change them every two to three weeks. I've had permanent filters in the past and they didn't have the strong metal frame around them, so they didn't last long before shedding and getting all stretched out. This filter stays in it's shape because of the great frame it is in. Highly recommend this one*******One suggestion: The instructions say it doesn't matter which way you put the filter in, but when you wash it, it says to wash filter in the airflow direction. The filter is not marked so before I installed it the first time I used a sharpie and drew arrows to indicate the airflow direction. Simple and easy to clean that way.........

Filters are well made. Haven't cleaned yet so cant say anything about filter efficiency. Filters delivered as expected.

We have used permanent washable filters for ten years or more. They are more efficient and cost effective than paper filters and do a better job, especially with someone with allergies.
