My wife installed the filters. The first one installed fine, but on the 2nd filter the metal edging separated from the filter element on 3 sides and she was ready to throw it away. With some basic tools I was able to repair and install the 2nd filter, so all ends well. I will install the next set of filters to be sure there was nothing she did during installation to cause the separation. The filters were of the same size and appeared to be of the same material as the original filters.
