Fits the following Aprilaire Air Cleaners:

Model 2400 after upgrading with #1413 Media Upgrade Kit
Model 2140 after upgrading with #1413 Media Upgrade Kit

Model 3410 (new premium model with electronic control)
Model 4400 (old premium model with electronic control)

Instructions:
1). Turn of HVAC system
2). Remove Air Cleaner door
3). Remove dirty filter
4). Expand new filter and attach the four side support legs to top and bottom frame
5). Install new (clean) filter with Air Flow arrow pointing toward furnace or air handler. Replace door.

Although I had to do some minor assembly, the product fit the housing fine and seems to be a good fit. The thickness of the filter material seemed to be the same as the Aprilaire filter removed. Will know more when I check it this fall for normal replacement.

Needed for an Aprilaire 2400. Received in good time and easily installed. May be an Aprilaire replacement, but very flimsy (not rigid to slide in Aprilaire slots) and defiantly not as dense in material including the accordion rigidity...wire brackets are OK...no air flow arrow so if it's supposed to be placed in a certain position like Aprilaire it is purely a guess if they are installed correctly, instructions only explain how to use wires....I doubt they will last six months, the proof will be in the pudding in April when I look at them again to get ready for summer...will buy only Aprilaire in future if my suspicions are confirmed

Although they fit, I don’t think this is the exact replacement for the aprilaire 413 air filter. Also, it doesn’t have the air flow direction on it.

It's a Merv 13 filter which means it is highly efficient and replaces a similarly rated Merv 13 OEM that costs almost twice as much. The OEM filter slides in a little easier than this one which requires some simple assembly steps and a little jiggling to get it to slide into the case. The slight bit of added work is well worth the savings. It fits my Aprilaire very well.

Well made, with ingenious mounting mechanism--ONCE you figure out how to use it. Written instructions hard to read because they sent a 4th or 5th generation xerox, and the reference to a YouTube video is hard to read and input. I highly recommend seeing the video because it's much easier to visualize than looking at the rather unclear diagram. If the instructions were better I would give it 5 stars.

Only concern is instructions say install in accordance with marking for direction of airflow. Filters received have no such markings.

Easy to install but there was no indication of which way air flow should go or whether it makes any difference. I have not had one installed long enough to to judge performance. It is cheaper than the name brand.

These were backordered for a few days. The shipment was well packed, and the product was nicely shrink wrapped. I'm only giving 3 stars because this doesn't fit the AprilAir air cleaner the same as the OEM filters. You have to use wire separators to spread the filter, not the nice plastic rails on the original filters, and the fit was *very* loose, leading me to suspect I'm not getting the same level of filtration I was with the OEM (original) filter. Not sure I'd try them again, may try another brand to see if they fit better.
