I have been buying these filters for several years. I have two Honeywell Portable Humidifiers that these filters fit. They are just as good as the original Honeywell filters, at a fraction of the price. I highly recommend these filters. I can generally get about two months use out of a filter, if I turn it over after one month. Since the principle of these filters is to evaporate water from the filter, the water leaves behind whatever minerals are in the water. Therefore, after some time, the filters fill up with minerals and have to be discarded. So, the useful life of the filter depends on how hard your water is. Softer water will get a longer useful life out of the filter. Conversely, hard water will shorten its useful life. If you can use demineralized water, you can probably get a much longer life out of a filter.

I have used this filter in my humidifier for one week and it appears to be EXCELLENT compared to the "Honeywell" branded filter I had been using (made in Mexico) that would already be turning yellow and crusty within a week, if not starting to already fall apart at the glued seam. I hope the price doesn't go up on these filters (they are actually a tremendous value), because I am a senior on a fixed income and was DREADING having to purchase more of what I had been buying at a big box store. But, rest assured, the price is a bargain and the quality seems to be absolutely EXCELLENT after the first week of use. THANK YOU.
