My filter was constructed backwards with the cardboard cut out placed backwards so that i could not slip it into the frame. I had to take it off , cut off the flaps and re-staple it in the correct fashion.

A very effective filter for my air conditioner and heater. Before I found these filters on line years ago, the A/C and heater workmen charged $90 for replacing the filter and $65 for each filter every six months. After I started replacing it myself, I found that it does not need replacing nearly that often. The air consumption is in the ceiling, which lowers the amount of dust.
