I am not quite sure about the quality of this product since it arrived in an unmarked box with no information as to where it was manufactured or any other pertinent information. Previous purchases were in a package with the manufacturer as well as what refrigerators it will fit. I will have to use one of the cartriges before I can determine its performance.

Great price. Quick shipping. Good product. But please note that -- even though it does replace the corresponding Samsung model -- it is not exactly the same size. The body of this filter is longer, making installation a bit more challenging, since I had to remove the refrigerator shelf to do so. I keep that top shelf "shallower" for eggs and similar food items, but I had to move it down a notch to accommodate the longer filter body. Ultimately not a huge issue, but worth noting the size difference between the Samsung original product and the ClearChoice replacement.

I have had the filter in the unit for about 2 weeks not and it seems to be cleaning the water quite well. The main problem I had was the fit. At first it did not want to fit and would not turn. After fighting with it for a few min. it went in to place this is not a problem with the original filter it went in without a problem.

How to install

How To Install The DA29-00003G Filter:

Remove old filter cartridge by grasping and turning to the left about 1/4 turn
Apply the month sticker (included) to the cartridge as a reminder to replace the filter with 6 months and remove red cap
Align unlabeled side of filter with the indictor line so that it can be inserted into the filter cover
Turn the cartridge 1/4 turn to the right to lock it into place - you will feel a stop and the locked symbol should now be lined up with the indicator line
Run water through the dispenser for 5 minutes to purge the system
Press and hold ice type and child lock button simultaneously to reset filter indicator if your fridge has one
