Easy install. Ran 2 full gallons through immediately. Water tasted clean for a while but now, even with substantial daily use, water now has a perceptible chemical taste. Water still appears clean and clear, but the chemical taste varies throughout the day. I'm disappointed.

Besides the fact that I am now inundated with relentless promotions, almost daily, though I opted out of each one, the product is a refrigerator filter and it does not leak. We were getting a bit of a metallic bite from our tap water so we ordered new filters. The taste, gone for a week, has returned but I doubt it is the fault of the filter. That was much better than this but, this one does say it works only about 6 months. So, it does as it says. I hope a very smart person will design a longer-lasting, less expensive product, though.

How to install

How To Install The ADQ36006101 Filter:

Press the push button to open the filter cover
Pull the old cartridge downward to remove and discard
With new cartridge in the horizontal position, push the the cartridge into the manifold hold until it stops
Push it up in firmly until you cannot push up further
Push the filter cover until it clicks into place
After replacing flush 2.5 gallons of water through filter before use
