We have used these filters for our LG refrigerator for several years. They have worked well in the past. This time the first filter we tried apparently didn't fit properly in the receptacle. Although we ran lots of water through it, it always had a taste of minerals, etc. We finally tried the other filter (they come in pairs) and it snapped into place easily and is working properly. I haven't contacted the company yet for a replacement.

Delivery was a little slow but will chalk that off to holiday "traffic." We purchased two filters and immediately installed one of them. It has a very slow leak so we have to keep a plastic container beneath it. We did not attempt to return the filter and have not used the second filter so do not know if it will also leak.

How to install

How To Install The 5231JA2006A Filter:

Remove old filter cartridge by grasping and turning counter clockwise about 1/4 turn - discard
Push new filter into the filter head until it stops
Turn the new filter 1/4 turn clockwise until it stops
Flush new cartridge by dispensing water for about 5 minutes
Replace cartridge once every 6 months
Press and hold reset water filter button if your fridge has one
